About DMI
Founder’s Message
Dear Friends,

With deep joy and gratitude, I extend my heartfelt greetings to you. The Daughters of Mary Immaculate (DMI) was founded with a profound vision: “to bring the compassionate love of Christ to the poor, to uplift the marginalized, and to restore dignity and hope to those most in need.” From our humble beginnings, we have grown into a vibrant global mission, reaching children, women, and families across Asia, Africa, and the Pacific.

Guided by faith and a spirit of service, we have stood with communities facing the harshest realities of our time—food insecurity, unemployment, poor education, gender-based violence, health, and hygiene challenges. In fragile nations torn by war and displacement, in rural villages burdened by poverty, and in settlements where opportunities are scarce, our sisters and volunteers walk alongside the people, offering not just aid, but hope and the tools for transformation. As we often remind ourselves, “every child deserves an education, every woman deserves dignity, and every community deserves hope and opportunity.”

Over the years, we have seen lives renewed—farmers cultivating their fields again, children returning to classrooms with full meals, women learning skills that restore confidence and independence, and survivors of violence finding healing and dignity. In Tanzania, South Sudan, the Central African Republic, Zambia, Papua New Guinea, Malawi, and India, the story is the same: communities once gripped by despair are finding the strength to rise.

Together with collaborators, partners, and well-wishers, we continue to build pathways for lasting transformation. Your prayers, support, and solidarity make this mission possible, strengthening us to move forward with courage, faith, and conviction. “Alone we can do so little, but together we can do so much”—these words echo in every act of service we carry out.

I warmly invite you to journey with us, to stand with the poor and the marginalized, and to be part of this mission of love, justice, and peace.
